Carvin SMS Consent

Carvin is a restaurant staff training and onboarding application operated by CARVIN SOFTWARE LLC.

Carvin uses SMS to send employees an invitation to their restaurant’s Carvin workspace and login codes for account access. These messages are for onboarding and authentication, not marketing.

How employees give consent

Before sending an SMS invitation, the restaurant manager asks the employee for permission using the script below.

The manager explains what messages the employee will receive and obtains their affirmative agreement before sending the invitation. Providing a phone number alone does not constitute consent.

Verbal consent script for managers

“Hi [Employee Name], may I send you an SMS invitation to join our restaurant’s Carvin workspace?

If you agree, Carvin will use your mobile number to send you a one-time invitation and login codes when you request access to your account. These are onboarding and authentication messages, not marketing messages.

Message frequency varies depending on your use. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

You can review our SMS terms at https://carvinapp.com/terms and our privacy policy at https://carvinapp.com/privacy.

Do you agree to receive these SMS messages?”

Instructions for managers

  • Read the consent script to the employee before sending the SMS invitation.
  • Obtain a clear affirmative response.
  • Confirm the mobile number the employee wants to use.
  • Send the invitation only after the employee has agreed.
  • If the employee declines, do not send the SMS invitation.

Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP to opt out of Carvin SMS messages. Opting out may prevent you from receiving subsequent invitations or SMS login codes.
